Kunstloch - Art Lake.
Contemporary artist based in the English Lake District, I like to produce unique images inspired by the stunning landscape of the area in which I live.
Originally my focus was to use my own photographs of the Lake District and edit these digitally to create new and exciting images. I found photography was a great way to explore my surroundings and that the digital art that followed allowed me to create images blending the real world with the surreal. This mix of photography and experimental editing allowed me to use light, colour, shapes and design, combining these elements to give a personal perspective in my quest to portray a different Lake District. Familiar Lake District scenes re-imagined to create unfamiliar dreamlike images with a touch of mystery and suspense, these digital artworks sit alongside more traditional photographs of the Lake District landscape and can be found HERE.
I have been encouraged to further my creative output and have expanded into more traditional artwork creating paintings and drawings using oil, acrylic and charcoal. Art based on my memories and feelings during these emotional times. Again the Lake District landscape provides a constant source of inspiration. My paintings and drawings can be found HERE.
